Master Heritage and Local Developement

Local development has become a major issue within the framework of the new models of social organisation and the promotion of the population’s welfare both in the developed and developing countries.

In this respect, the members of the public at large are no longer passive subjects, since they have become the stakeholders and beneficiaries of development.

In the course year 2014/2015, this master's degree will not be offered.

In order to favour their role in local development, all social groups must be taken into consideration along with their way of life, their cultural background and their particular relationship with the legacy of past generations, ranging from the arts to lifestyle, and from collective memory to the construction of a new cultural landscape.

This reappraisal of heritage requires specialised managers able to match the contributions of other specialists in more restricted technical areas. They are in demand from local institutions and international agencies
